莎兰达·杨，1999年 named first Black woman to head up the White House Office of Management and Budget

巴吞鲁日本地人, 罗耀拉女校友, Presidential Management Fellow, 妈妈。, first Black woman to be appointed director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) -- Shalanda Young has made impressive strides in her career since graduating with a with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola in 1999. Her appointment to the Cabinet-level position came with bipartisan support and backing by the Congressional Black Caucus, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and her entire House Democratic leadership team.

Linking faith with justice is one of the twelve ideals of a Jesuit education that we hold dear at Loyola University 新奥尔良.
